The commencement ceremony for the Ezhou Airport Bonded Logistics Centre (Type B) project took place in the Airport-based Economic Zone on the morning of 18th August.
The Ezhou Airport Bonded Logistics Center (Type B) project has an estimated total investment of around RMB 530 million. Spanning across a planned land area of about 150 mu (approximately 0.13 km2), the project will encompass a total construction area of roughly 46,000 square meters, including a warehousing space of approximately 37,000 square meters. The construction will consist of customs-supervised warehouses, customs inspection centres, international cargo stations, checkpoints, customs fencing and customs information engineering. The project is expected to be completed and operational by the end of the year.
The construction of this project will play a significant role in advancing the development of the airport-based industry cluster and facilitating the expansion of regional economic openness. Upon completion, it will serve as a crucial foundation for our province in establishing a new frontier of inland openness and injecting fresh impetus into Hubei's endeavors to build a thriving domestic circular economy and a robust domestic-international dual-cycle hub.
The Ezhou Airport-based Economic Zone is enthusiastically embracing the vision outlined in the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Its primary focus is on the development plan for establishing the Wuhan-Ezhou-Huanggang-Huangshi International Comprehensive Transportation Hub, while concurrently creating dual hubs for passenger and cargo transportation at Wuhan Tianhe Airport and Ezhou Huahu Airport. Leveraging its unique strengths as the fourth largest cargo hub globally, the leading one in Asia, and the sole specialized cargo hub airport in China, the zone is strategically harnessing its well-connected and efficient location advantages. A concerted effort is underway to attract projects, strengthen industries, facilitate transformation, and ultimately cultivate a comprehensive and cost-effective "oasis" while fostering a business environment that stands as a "highland" of opportunity.
Simultaneously, seizing the commencement of this project as a catalyst, the zone will foster an environment characterized by unwavering dedication, undivided attention, and committed service towards projects. The goal is to transform the airport-based economic zone into a compelling "magnetic field" for attracting resources, a fertile ground for nurturing enterprise development, and a thriving haven for investment and business endeavors. As the project construction progresses, supporting stable economic growth, it will make fresh contributions towards expediting the establishment of a world-class air cargo hub and strive to achieve recognition as a national-level airport-based economic demonstration zone.
