On 11th September, the Ezhou Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism conducted an evaluation of tourist attractions in accordance with the Management Measures for Rating of Tourist Attractions and the standards set by the Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. This evaluation followed the National Standard of Rating for Quality of Tourist Attractions (GB/T17775-2003) and was based on the preliminary assessment and recommendation by the cultural and tourism bureaus of each district. As a result, the Peninsula Scenic Area, Dong Shan Tourist Scenic Area, and Tong Tie Hai Scenic Area have successfully met the requirements for the national 3A-level tourist attraction and have been officially recognised as such.
The Peninsula Scenic Area is situated on the picturesque Ye Hu Ju Peninsula in Tu Jia Nao Town, within the Liangzi Lake District. It is conveniently located adjacent to the Jiangxia District of Wuhan City. Encompassing an expansive area of approximately 1,100 mu (approx. 143 km2), this scenic spot boasts abundant vegetation, rolling slopes, and is surrounded by water on three sides, creating a breathtaking natural landscape. The development of the scenic area is organised into four distinct sections, namely themed campsites, immersive recreational activities, sports and leisure facilities, and ecological conservation areas. As a newly established camping destination in the Liangzi Lake region, it offers a unique and rare opportunity for visitors to enjoy a truly remarkable outdoor experience.
The Dong Shan Tourist Scenic Area is nestled in Dong Shan Village, Chang Gang Town, situated in the heart of the Bai Li Chang Gang region. Boasting a rich historical background and a vibrant cultural heritage, it is particularly renowned for its association with the red culture. Dong Shan Village has made impressive progress in recent years by promoting the harmonious integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism. This has led to the creation of a captivating destination that seamlessly combines the red culture and environmental preservation. By leveraging its local distinctiveness and embracing practical development approaches, the village has successfully fostered the comprehensive growth of the agriculture, culture, and tourism sectors. One of the notable features of the area is its diverse range of attractions, such as an agricultural museum, an integrated complex, a camping base, a coffee shop, and an art creative park. As a result of these efforts, rural tourism in the village has experienced a significant increase in popularity.
The Tong Tie Hai Scenic Area is nestled in the charming Sha Wan Village, Liangzi Town, renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty. It is seamlessly connected to the Tong Tie Hai Wetland Park, spanning an expansive area of 100 mu (approx. 13 km2). This scenic spot offers a wide range of comprehensive services, including dining, accommodation and entertainment. Here, guests can immerse themselves in the tranquil ambiance of rural tourism, marvel at the picturesque rural landscapes, and indulge in the flavors of seasonal vegetables and fresh lake delicacies.
