A significant investment promotion and government-bank-enterprise matchmaking event took place on 23rd September in the Huahu Economic Development Zone, Echeng District. The event witnessed the signing of 22 projects, amounting to a total contract value of RMB 10.87 billion. These projects encompass a wide range of sectors, such as optoelectronic information, new energy, new materials, intelligent manufacturing, cultural tourism and healthcare. With their cutting-edge technology and strong industrial relevance, these projects are poised to inject momentum to the development of Echeng District.
Among the noteworthy projects signed during the event, the Changgang River Basin comprehensive management and agricultural-cultural-tourism demonstration complex project stands out. With a total investment of RMB 3 billion, this project aims to establish nostalgic cultural tourism demonstration complexes, rural communities influenced by socialist ideals and ecological healthcare centres. By leveraging cultural resources, the project aims at creating a hub of industrial advantages in the area. Another significant project is the Guochuang Hi-tech Industrial Group's carbon-silicon new material research and development base, situated in Fankou Street, with a total investment of RMB 3 billion. This project will primarily focus on the research and development of motorway-related materials, including modified asphalt, emulsified asphalt and rubber asphalt.
During the business matchmaking event, twelve enterprises successfully signed contracts with ten banks and companies that have a guarantee from Ezhou municipality. These agreements resulted in loans totaling RMB 492 million and credit lines amounting to RMB 580 million, with a combined total of RMB 1.072 billion in financial support.
During the first three quarters of this year, Echeng District successfully secured 69 investment promotion projects, attracting a total investment of RMB 32.541 billion. Notably, one project alone attracted an investment exceeding RMB 5 billion, while four projects reached investments surpassing RMB 3 billion, and an additional four projects exceeded RMB 1 billion in investments. Moreover, the government-bank-enterprise matchmaking activities resulted in the signing of credit lines amounting to RMB 8.315 billion.
Echeng District is strategically prioritising key sectors including the airport economy, high-end equipment manufacturing, new-generation electronic information and modern supply chain management. This focused approach aligns with the development strategies at the provincial and municipal levels. The district is actively planning and attracting major projects, aiming at establishing a top-notch business environment that emphasizes cost control and acts as a reliable "shop assistant" catering to all requirements without causing any disruptions.
