On the evening of 22th December at 6:55 p.m., the B-10VC aircraft from the Fight Inspection Center of CAAC smoothly landed on the east runway of Ezhou Huahu Airport, symbolizing the successful completion of the regular calibration work of the instrument landing systems/rangefinders.

The flight inspection experienced cold and snowy weather this time. Ezhou Huahu Airport attached great importance to ensure the orderly progress of the work, and a coordination meeting was held to discuss the order of inspection subjects ahead. Specific work has been scheduled, such as coordination with adjacent areas about the air traffic control, monitoring the weather condition in real time, and refining the plan. During the inspection, the navigation personnel closely cooperated with the inspectors, and multiple measures were taken such as “adjustment of parameters in advance" and “data comparison between the main and backup machines in advance" based on the trend of parameter changes to improve the efficiency of the inspection while ensuring the regular flights. The inspection of the four sets of instrument landing systems/rangefinders took 26 hours.
The inspection guaranteed the performance of the instrument landing systems/rangefinders of Ezhou Huahu Airport, making it meet the requirements for operation and providing reliable signal assurance for the flight safety, and laying a safer foundation for the efficient operation of Ezhou Huahu Airport with dual runways.
