Accompanied by the roar of the aircraft, a B737 all-cargo plane from Dhaka International Airport, loaded with clothing and textile products from South Asia, docked at the designated slot at Huahu Airport at 9:48 p.m. on May 1st. After a short transit, it returned to Dhaka International Airport with daily necessities and e-commerce goods. This marks the official opening of “Ezhou ═ Dhaka” international all-cargo route.
The flight time of this flight is about 4 hours, and it is operated by Tianjin Cargo Airlines, which is stationed in Huahu Airport for the first time, and flies directly to Dhaka through the Himalayas. Dhaka has served as Bangladesh’s largest industrial center and largest commodity distribution center. It has long been trading with China’s inland areas. The opening of the “Ezhou═Dhaka” all-cargo airline can, not only effectively make up for the current weakness of air transport capacity tension from current central regions to Dhaka, but also is favorable for Ezhou and even enterprises in Central and Northern China to expand ASEAN trade market. The route is planned to operate 3 times a week in the future, and it is expected to provide about 60 tons of outbound capacity for Ezhou on a weekly basis.
It is worth mentioning that the opening of “Ezhou═Dhaka” all-cargo route has functioned as the first international cargo route after the official acceptance of Huahu Airport Zone.
This year, Ezhou will anchor its goal and take advantage of the opportunities to accelerate the establishment of the international free-trade airport zone, and focus on promoting connectivity between Huahu Airport and countries in North America, Europe and the Middle East. China will strive to open more than 10 new international cargo routes and increase its cargo and mail throughput to 1.2 million tons.
