Recently, Ezhou Huahu International Airport successfully completed the flight calibration of blind landing equipment, and the 19R/19L main landing direction passed the Category II operation commissioning calibration.
In order to successfully complete the supporting mission, Huahu International Airport Air Traffic Control Service Company deployed various flight test tasks in advance, organized various support unitsng to hold coordination meetings, formulated flight test support plans and emergency response plans for various emergencies; and completed in-depth maintenance and optimization of blind landing equipment before the flight test.
At present, Ezhou has entered the plum rain season. During the flight calibration check, the air traffic control service company maintained close communication with the crew, conveyed the latest weather information and airport operation status, and reasonably arranged the check items and sequence. With efficient coordination and cooperation, after a flight of 28 hours and 42 minutes, Huahu International Airport successfully completed this flight calibration mission.
It is introduced that the commissioning and calibration for the Category II operation of the blind landing equipment is also known as the Category II standard of the Instrument Landing System (ILS). The ILS system can provide stable approach and landing guidance for aircraft during poor weather conditions (low visibility or low cloud base height), thus strengthening the supporting capability of the airport in low-visibility weather.
