At 22:25 on June 29, a Boeing 737-800F freighter loaded with 22 tons of export goods took off from Ezhou Huahu International Airport to Manila, the capital of the Philippines. This marks the successful launch of “Ezhou ═ Manila” scheduled international cargo route, which is also the 20th international cargo route launched by Huahu International Airport.
The first flight of the route export goods covering cross-border e-commerce goods, electronic products, general cargo, crayfish, etc., mainly from Hubei and neighboring regions. While promoting the “Effectively drive the return of high-end manufacturing in Hubei to the Hubei air cargo market”, it also attracts transshipment goods from East China, South China and other regions, effectively expanding the coverage of Hubei's cross-border logistics network and providing a more efficient air channel for economic and trade exchanges between China and the Philippines.
According to the flight plan, “Ezhou ═ Manila” route is regularly implemented 5 times a week, which can provide 220 tons of air transport capacity for Ezhou to and from Manila on a weekly basis, and most of the cargo will be cross-border e-commerce goods, seafood, etc.
This scheduled cargo route is carried by Efly (Guangzhou) Aviation Services Co., Ltd. and flown by Zhongzhou Airlines, a domestic all-cargo aircraft operator. Zhongzhou Airlines holds the operation qualifications for international air freight and dangerous goods air freight. Currently, it has put into operation 8 B737F series aircraft and 2 B777F aircraft, with a total freight volume of over 200,000 tons. Subsequently, Zhongzhou Airlines plans to open new and increase the frequency of routes between Ezhou and Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, aiming to strengthen economic and trade exchanges between Hubei and even central China and Southeast Asian countries.
Since this year, Ezhou Huahu International Airport has actively expanded international freight routes to Europe, America, Asia, Africa and countries along the “Belt and Road Initiative”. It has successively opened 10 international freight routes to Moscow of Russia, Chicago and Miami of the United States, Incheon of South Korea, Budapest of Hungary, Addis Ababa of Ethiopia, etc., and 6 domestic freight routes, completing the annual route opening target ahead of schedule. An international air freight network radiating from Ezhou to Asia, Europe, America and Africa is accelerating rapidly. The accessibility of routes, completeness of facilities and convenience of collection and distribution of Huahu International Airport are constantly improving, thus attracting more and more import and export goods to be distributed and transferred at Huahu International Airport. Efforts are made to promote the continuous release of the air transport capacity, gather strong momentum to help the inland hinterland developing into an open frontier, and provide strong support for Hubei to accelerate the construction of an important link for the domestic major cycle and an important hub of the dual circulation both at home and abroad.
