Hubei showed a good trend of comprehensive recovery from COVID-19 pandemic in Jan.-Aug. period, ranking the first in terms of industrial growth rate among the six provinces in central China (Shanxi, Henan, Anhui, Hubei, Jiangxi, Hunan), according to official data.
In the eight months, the added value of industries above designated size in Hubei rose by 21.6 percent on a year-on-year basis, which was 8.5 percentage points higher than that of national level, and 4.6 percent higher from the same period in 2019.
The added value of the high-tech manufacturing industry in the province registered a year-on-year increase of 39.8 percent during the same period, marking 32 percent higher from the same period in 2019.
The electronic equipment manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries expanded by 51.8 percent and 30.3 percent year on year, respectively.
The revenue of industries above designated size in the province grew by 31.3 percent year on year from January to July, 6.1 percent higher than the same period in 2019, while their profits saw a year-on-year increase of 69.4 percent, 12.3 percent higher than the same period in 2019.
