The added value of industries above designated size in Hubei rose by 4.2 percent year on year in the first quarter (Q1) of this year, 1.2 percentage points higher than national level, the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Hubei Province reported.
Among 41 major industrial sectors, 26 achieved positive growth and 11 out of which registered double-digit growth.
The added value of the province’s high-tech manufacturing industry increased by 9.3 percent year on year in Q1, 5.1 percentage points higher than that of industries above designated size.
11 cities in the province, including Jingzhou, Huangshi and Shiyan outperformed the province’s average level in terms of industrial added value growth.
In Q1, 1,877 new industrial enterprises above designated size registered in the province, with a net increase of 1,209, pushing the total industrial enterprises above designated size in the province to 18,734. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
