The airports in Hubei Province have totally handled 51,800 flights and over 6.32 million passenger trips during the just-ended summer travel peak, up 38.4 percent and 63 percent, respectively, Hubei Airport Group reported on September 7, 2023.
In August,?the average number of daily trips made in the airports reached 83,200, hitting a new monthly average record. The peak day fell on August 6 with 91,400 passenger trips, the highest so far this year.
In terms of passenger flights, the popular domestic destination cities at the Wuhan airports?mainly include Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Qingdao, Kunming, Haikou,Lanzhou, etc.
In addition, the airports opened or resumed international flights from Wuhan to Dubai, Sydney, London, Tokyo, Phuket?and Boracay, and added flights to Bangkok, Singapore, Nha Trang and other cities, to meet rising?travel needs.
