The export value of agricultural products in Hubei Province rose 45.2 percent year on year to 19.5 billion yuan (about 2.81 billion U.S. dollars) in the first eight months of this year, ranking first in central China, local customs said.
During the period, the export value of condiments (including mushroom sauce), mushrooms (processed) and unmixed vegetable juice ranked among the top three in Hubei, reaching 3.85 billion yuan, 2.45 billion yuan and 2.08 billion yuan, respectively. The figure accounted for 43 percent of the province's total agricultural exports.
In particular, soup products and feed additives skyrocketed by 912.7 percent and 755.8 percent, respectively, which became popular in Thailand and Malaysia. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
