The civil airports in Hubei handled 1.03 million passenger trips along with 7,485 flight landings and takeoffs from February 10 to February 17 this year, Hubei Airports Group reported on February 18, 2024.
The total passenger trips and flights mark 48.37 percent and 28.10 percent growth from the same period of last year, and 15.49 percent and 12.74 percent growth from the same period of 2019, hitting a historic high.
Out of the total, Wuhan Tianhe International Airport handled 786,000 passenger trips and 5,409 flights during the eight days, showing robust growth of 53.19 percent and 33.75 percent respectively from the same period of last year, and 14.10-percent and 10.77-percent increases compared to the same period of 2019.
The airport also saw a daily average passenger flow of more than 80,000 trips during the period, with the number exceeding 100,000 every day from February 13 to 17.(en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi
