A Boeing 737-800F cargo plane with 22-tonne cargos took off from Ezhou Huahu Airport in Hubei Province on June 29, bound for Manila, capital city of the Philippines.
It marks the launching of Ezhou-Manila cargo route and the 20th international cargo route in Ezhou Huahu Airport.
China's Central Airlines is running the air cargo service and plans to operate it five times a week. The main trade goods include cross-border e-commerce goods, seafood and general cargos.
The new route is expected to provide 220 tonnes of air cargo capacity for the transportation of goods between Ezhou and Manila each week.
The Ezhou Huahu Airport, which began operations in July 2022, is a cargo-focused hub airport with extensive cargo traffic and some passenger traffic. It has launched 51 domestic cargo routes and 20 international cargo routes. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
