The art of Chu-style lacquer can be traced back to the pre-Qin period, citing the nationally renowned Drum with Phoenix Rack on Tiger-shaped Pedestal. In recent years, Hubei has achieved fruitful results in the development of lacquer art, seeing seven colleges and universities set up lacquer art courses and cultivate many outstanding talents.
The exhibition will be open to the public until August 20. Three parallel exhibitions will also be held during the period. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Ruan Xinqi)
