Hubei has carried out a host of?tourism activities?this year, in an effort to?expand?the market scale and improve the service quality in?the province’s tourism?sector, according?to a press conference held on Wednesday.
Wu Ye, deputy director of Department of Culture and Tourism?of Hubei Province, introduced that Hubei has organized a series of important events such as Qu Yuan Cultural Festival, World Chinese Finding "Roots" Festival and Global Travel Agent Conference this year. The tourism market in the province has witnessed a robust developing trend.
By?the end of October, the cumulative number of Hubei's tourists increased by 12.7 percent year on year, and the cumulative number of inbound tourists soared by 42.62 percent year on year. Tourism revenue registered a year-on-year growth of 17.8 percent.?(en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
