On 1 August, an aerial photograph was taken capturing the Sanjiang Port Logistics Hub and Conveyance Base Project (Phase I), specifically the Grain Reserve Base. A few days ago, the project achieved a successful delivery and acceptance milestone, and with the operational conditions now in place, it is poised to be operational in the near future. The Sanjiang Port Logistics Hub Logistics Base Project holds a vital position in national food security initiatives and stands as a significant component of the Sanjiang Port Multimodal National Demonstration Project. It is consisted of the primary construction of transit warehouses, general warehouses, integrated warehouses, a deep processing plant, and associated dedicated railway and highway infrastructure. The overall estimated investment for these projects amounts to approximately RMB 830 million. Upon the project's completion and activation, it will contribute an additional 85,000 tonnes of grain storage capacity and facilitate a new grain turnover capacity of 1 million tonnes. Notably, in February of this year, Sanjiang Port introduced the inaugural "bulk to container" rail and water intermodal transport demonstration line for grain. This innovation allows for the intermodal transfer of bulk grain materials via river and sea, connecting Sanjiang Port and Ezhou North Station, making it more convenient to reach regions such as Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan.
